The data synchronization to and from the CE is done through the ActiveSync utility and the VCE data synchronization. The ActiveSync facilitates table synchronization and the VCE synchronization passes and converts new data to the CE data tables. Both synchronization programs are typically started and configured to run when the CE device is initially connected to the PC.
