RemoteCE Overview

The desktop PC application provides the accounting interfaces for both outbound to the CE and inbound sales orders from the CE. For each of the inbound sales orders files to the accounting system, there are additional programs in the accounting system to facilitate final posting.

The Administrator program can control when customer and item records are synchronized to the CE. It also facilitates the handling of the inbound sales orders created on the CE.

There are two main programs for RemoteCE Windows CE environment. The RemoteCE sales order data entry and the Day End processes. There are two new menu choices added to the CE menu. "RemoteCE" and ‘RDDayEnd".

The RemoteCE portion consists of 4 separate forms and tables. Each of the forms will be covered in the following section. Its important to note that the CE data tables are records of data entry into each of the forms. The tables can be viewed in list form to see all the data collected and also as a filtered group when looking at the sales order details. The final totals, amounts etc in each order are determined when the orders are posted. At the CE data entry step, it is a basic collection of orders and items to be ordered.
