- During the creation or posting of a new order, you may receive an error message that states "Your maximum number of file handles needs to be increased". If you receive this error message, you will have to perform the instructions listed below, and re-create that particular sales order as it has not been saved.
- Follow these instructions:
- Using WinExplorer go to \program files\borland\common files\bde and click on BDECFG32.EXE
- When the program starts, click on the SYSTEM tab.
- One of the items displayed in the box is MAXFILEHANDLES, the number next to it is 48. Click on the number, and change it to 52.
- Now click on FILE and EXIT. When prompted to save changes say YES.
