- Speed of transfer
The current rate of transfer from the computer to the handheld is 1000 records for every 15 minutes. This is the same for customers or items. This will help you in determining the setup time required per handheld.
- RAM on device
The recommended RAM for a device is 16 meg or higher.
- Number of customers/items
RemoteCE software does not have any limits on the number of items/customers that it can handle, however, there is currently a bug in the Microsoft Windows CE operating system that causes the PocketPC device to hang after about 11,000 items. We have gotten up to 13,500 on the device at one time. They are currently working on this. For more details visit the Microsoft Technical Note for more information
